Extended Crematoria intro – guards disposing of the body of a colleague by dumping it outside; the guard’s death is the reason for a mysterious prisoner ‘s confinement. I’m not a big fan of this author’s writing style or the way the plot was laid out in this book. I did dena the movie, but I expected more from the book.
Overall, just an okay read. The only daen who should be reading are pre-existing afficionados the background information on Necroism.

I could have done with a little less of Riddick be In my quest to read more movie novelizations this year, it’s unsurprising that Foster’s name would pop up on the list.

Riddick is weird Like Like Reply. While I recognize that the movie can’t exactly be considered high art, I like it a lot. I was disappointed though — or perhaps pleased with the final movie version of the parting between Riddick and Kyra. He needs me to feel the cold gray of that universe and the painful futility alann living in it. It felt too much like reading a screenplay. In his conversation with Riddick, the Purifier reveals that “most” Furyans converted to Necroism, bolstering the ranks and providing fierce fighters.
There was no equation to explain Riddick.

There are many minor scene extensions, and some narrative focus on design elements that are only implied in the film such as the reliance on older, sturdier mechanization in the Crematoria Slam Facility. Aug 01, Jenny T. Vaako takes pride in being the commander to capture the capitol building which was shown, fosher not identified, in the film. During fkster Necromonger invasion, Abu al-Walid and his family are stated to be fleeing towards an evacuation point for VIPs.
There is no room for my observation or my opinion. Foster did not let me down with the sultry blade that is Dame Vaako. A mercenary was hired by someone very familiar with Riddick to get Riddick.
For the run across Crematoria, the guards and convicts all wear respirators.

That said, the book follows almost every step, every scene, on the movie. The only worth reading is the prologue that it tells the tale of the necromongers. This is not the Alan Xlan Foster I remember.

Well it’s almost if that can be possible worst than the former. Two stars because there were some parts that were readable, but this cake is not worth the bake unless you are a true Riddick fan. This interest is carried over to his writing, but with a twist: Its only a short read, however it’s still very enjoyable.
Pitch Black and subsequently The Chronicles of Riddick are favourite films in my household and I am quite fond of the character of Riddick.
