They are strong people. What really resonated with me his his simplistic view. His world expands as the story takes in more characters and situations.
Excellent and totally gripping read. Only the Mongols would take on assassin strong holds This series did that and MORE!

I gobbled up the first three books in the I have no idea how I missed all this history of Ghengis Khan – I was an avid student but didn’t know almost any of what was presented Amazon Advertising Find, attract, and engage customers.

An enthralling read about a fascinating historical figure. I’d write more but I can’t wait any longer to start on the next book in the series! Iggulden manages to immerse the reader in the stinky, cold, short lives of the wandering Mongol tribes, with a minimum of modern cultural pollution. It was a rough introduction to his life, to a sudden adult world, but Temujin survived, learning to combat natural and human threats. The reader cannot help but respect the courage and endurance of the Mongols under his leadership, if not at the same time deploring their brutality.

Plus the struggles that had to over come to survive and conquer. Want to Read saving…. Conn Iggulden takes some literary license in this five book series, but he is quick to point out the cknn in his historical notes at the end of each book.
