There are very few out there can write better than Rangan. Mani Ratnam and the films that he has made, this book actually cuts through all the mystique that I had had constructed around this man. With a dedicated chapter for each of his films, this book is full of honest insights about the filmmaker’s craft and process and it leaves you awe-struck in the sense that you realize that after all, Mani Ratnam is the filmmaker who he is only because of his dedication and passion for film making.
Read it and know more about Mani. When a critic asks the right questions at the right time, and he explains the intricacies of the making behind it, the reason could be practical or figurative.

ComiXology Thousands of Digital Comics. While we were making a really so-called short film at college, it kind of struck me how difficult this process of filmmaking is, and how some directors have made filmmaking look so effortless and palatable. Hopefully, conversatiosn captures some of the confusion in reviewing the book.

I am not sure if I am more in awe of Maniratnam for his earthly movies or the author Baradwaj Ranjan for bringing out the best from an otherwise reserved director, perfectly balancing between a fan and a critic. A little more than 10 years or so ago, a movie that ran across multiple cinema halls in the country for more than a days or so was deemed a blockbuster.
